Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 October 2026
The short version
- Your job records are yours. We store them so the app can work.
- They are stored in Ireland.
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
- Usage analytics are off unless you say yes.
- You can delete your account, and everything in it, from inside the app.
Who we are
SiteProfit is an iPhone app for builders. It is run by Elm Tree Digital, in Ireland. On this page, "we" and "us" mean Elm Tree Digital.
We decide how your personal data is used. The law calls that being the data controller.
To ask about anything on this page, email support@siteprofit.app.
What the app stores
SiteProfit stores what you put into it:
- Your account. Your email address, your name, and your business name and details. That includes your VAT number and VAT settings, your country, your rates and running costs, and your accountant's details, if you add them.
- Your jobs. Job names, client names, the price you agreed, the work in the job, and any extras.
- Your costs. Amounts, suppliers, dates, VAT, and whether a bill has been paid.
- Your income. Payments you have received, invoices, stage payments, and payments you expect.
- Your staff. The names and rates of people who work for you, if you add them.
- Your photos. Pictures of dockets and invoices that you add.
- Your settings. Such as reminders, and whether you agreed to usage analytics.
If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple confirms to us who you are. You can choose to hide your email address from us when you do.
Some of what you enter is about other people, such as a client's name or a staff member's rate. We store it for you as part of your records. Please add only what you need.
To add a photo of a docket, the app asks to use your camera or your photo library. It uses them only when you add a photo.
Why we use it
- To give you the service you signed up for. We store your records and show you your figures. This is our contract with you.
- To run your subscription. We check whether your subscription is active. This is also part of our contract with you.
- To answer you. When you email us, we use your message and your address to reply.
- To improve the app, only if you agree. Usage analytics are off unless you say yes.
- To contact you about early access, only if you asked. See "This website" below.
- To keep the service secure and to meet our legal duties.
Who handles your data for us
We use a small number of companies to run SiteProfit. They handle your data only on our instructions.
- Supabase. Our database, sign-in and photo storage. Your records and photos are stored in Ireland.
- Apple. Takes payment for your subscription and runs Sign in with Apple. We never see your card details.
- RevenueCat. Tells the app whether your subscription is active. It holds an ID for your account and your purchase history. It does not hold your job records. RevenueCat is based in the United States.
- PostHog. Usage analytics, only if you agree. Stored in the EU.
- Cloudflare. Hosts this website.
- Resend. Delivers the early-access form on this website to us and holds the early-access list. Resend is based in the United States.
Some of these companies are based in the United States, or may handle data there. Where that happens, your data is protected by safeguards approved under EU law, such as standard contractual clauses.
We may also share data if the law requires us to.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
- We do not put money figures, job names, client names or photos into analytics.
Usage analytics
Usage analytics are off unless you say yes. You can change your mind at any time in the app's Settings. The app works the same either way.
If you agree, we collect:
- which features you use and how often
- how long you spend on each screen
- what type of device you use
- errors and crashes
- a random ID for your account, not your name or email
We never collect what you type in. No names, no amounts, no photos.
How long we keep it
- Your app records. For as long as you have an account. If your subscription ends, your records are kept so you can sign in and export or delete them.
- When you delete your account. Deleting your account in the app deletes your records and your photos. It cannot be undone. Any backup copies are removed on their normal cycle.
- Purchase records. Apple and RevenueCat keep records of purchases as their own rules and the law require.
- Emails you send us. For as long as we need them to help you.
- Early-access details. Until you ask us to remove you, or until we close the early-access list.
Your rights
Under data protection law you can:
- ask to see the data we hold about you
- ask us to correct it
- ask us to delete it
- ask for a copy of it in a form you can take elsewhere
- object to how we use it, or ask us to limit it
- withdraw a permission you gave, such as usage analytics
To use any of these, email support@siteprofit.app. We answer within one month, and it is free. We may ask you to confirm who you are first.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
This website
- The early-access form. If you fill it in, we get your name, your email, your mobile number if you give it, and the kind of work you do. We use them only to contact you about early access.
- Page counts. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and does not follow you to other sites.
- No cookies and no advertising pixels. That is why there is no cookie banner.
- Server logs. Like every website, our host handles your IP address to deliver the pages and keep the site secure.
Changes to this policy
When something changes, we update this page and the date at the top. If the change is a big one, we will tell you in the app or by email.
